Day 3 #BKGratitudeChallenge :: Say Thank You
Write a thank you letter. Tell someone how much you appreciate her. How she inspired you, helped you, taught you, made your life better in some way. Keep it short and sweet. Or long and luxurious.
Mail it. Or set up a gratitude visit where you share your words (hugs and tears) in person. Then give her (or him) the letter to reread.
Some people to consider: A parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or someone you consider a fairy godmother. Perhaps your first (or current) pole dance teacher. A member of your tribe.
I have several thank you letters I’ve been planning to write. For weeks (and months!) The cards have been patiently waiting for me to pick up my pen. Today’s the day. I’ll make a cup of tea. Light a candle. Revel in the memories and feel the ripples that still reverberate from their actions. Express my gratitude. And strengthen our bond of sisterhood.
PS If you have someone you want to thank, but don’t have her mailing address, be brave: text or email to ask for it.
*This is Day 3 of the #BKGratitudeChallenge, a free 6 day and/or 6 week (on Sundays thru 12/27). We’re cultivating the six habits of highly grateful people/pole dancers. Join in on your own or share your experience with words and/or a photo. Use the hashtag #BKGratitudeChallenge so we can find each other.
