Day 1 #BKGratitudeChallenge :: Savor
Savor something today that you often or sometimes take for granted. For example, last night as I plopped into bed, exhausted from a day of pre-decorating cleaning, I put on cream as I habitually do.
And then something special happened.
My tired mind focused on the experience of slathering the cream on my hands and arms. They caressed each other, enjoying the smooth, cool sensation. After their hard day of dusting, scrubbing, waxing, polishing, sweeping and swiffer-ing, they took a mini ride on what felt like a water slide.
I felt so grateful I bought more Dream Cream from Lush before running out. And said a silent thank you to them for making it.
If you’re not poling today, why not enjoy treating your body to a favorite moisturizing treat. If you are pole dancing, savor your favorite simple floor move or spin like you’re discovering it for the first time. Or go on a familiar walk in your neighborhood. And take time to enjoy the literal and metaphorical roses.
