2011: My Year Filled With Tears of Joy

My vision board from last year include the following big colorful words: Smaller words like soar, ask, soul sisters, connection & peace floated amidst pictures that represented combinations of the words. And people and places that inspired me, that I longed to be more like. My mentors. Huge TGIM (i.e. Thank God It’s Monday) in the bottom right corner from Sunset Magazine article. A change I craved. But what did I experience most in 2011? JOY. Hmm, and more tears. It’s what I desired most from my year, especially if you consider the heart (center) of my vision board. As 2011 began, I was figuring out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life after leaving my job as a professor. I’m not done creating that new life, but am further along in my path. I read a powerful post by Adam Baker titled What Makes You Cry Tears of Joy?…Do That. It provided guidance all year.
