“Do your work, and I shall know you. Do your work, and you shall reinforce yourself. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Take a moment, step back from your concerns, and focus on one thing: You have one life to achieve everything you’ve ever wanted. Sounds simple, but when you really focus on it, let it seep into your consciousness, you realize you only have about 100 years to get every single thing you’ve ever wanted to do. No second chances. This is your only shot. Suddenly, this means you should have started yesterday. No more waiting for permission or resources to start. Today is the day you make the rest of your life happen. Write down one thing you’ve always wanted to do and how you will achieve that goal. Don’t be afraid to be very specific in how you’ll achieve it: once you start achieving, your goals will get bigger and your capability to meet them will grow.”
Over the weekend, I discussed reincarnation with my mom. A friend of mine believes we knew each other in a prior life. I’m uncertain if I believe or not. I suppose I believe in the possibility. And that maybe each soul gets to choose based on her/his beliefs and interests.
In this life, I’m counting on 103 years, but that only leaves me 58 more. The longer I live, the longer my bucket list grows. So does my someday/maybe list. I want to believe I get a second chance on our planet so I get another crack at what I don’t complete during my current lifet.
Let Shinedown inspire you with their song, Second Chance.
My One BIG Thing: To start a foundation/non-profit research, workshop and retreat center.
It’s purpose: To empower women by valuing, honoring and celebrating femininity, especially sensuality and sexuality. The first project is to research the effects of S Factor and other forms of empowering movement and dance for women. To understand women’s experiences and transformations. To document and categorize the effects, which seem to include body love/pride, vibrancy, integration, wholeness, intimacy, self-trust, spirituality, joy and radiance.
I suspect these changes may result from rewiring the emotional brain to favor balance (i.e. homeostasis) over stress (i.e. allostasis)
Until recently, I’d viewed this as long-term vision. However, I’ve taken steps towards building and brainstormed future actions.
